Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is the process of removing stains caused by colored organic and inorganic substances attached to the enamel layer, the outermost layer of the teeth.
Teeth whitening methods are divided into two different types according to the application technique:
Office Bleaching (whitening type performed in the clinic)
It is a very fast, reliable and effective whitening system consisting of whitening gel and light, which can lighten the tooth color 3-4 tones in a short time.

Home Bleaching
It is a whitening process performed by placing special home whitening gels into plastic trays prepared individually with a simple impression taken from the mouth. It is aimed to achieve the desired whitening in an average of 10-15 days. It should be worn for 6-8 hours a day (may vary depending on the color and gel).
Teeth whitening treatment cannot be expected to give the same result in all patients. How much the tooth color will lighten depends on the structure of the tooth. Researches and microscopic studies; There are no studies showing that structural changes and permanent damage to the teeth occur in the use of 10 percent bleaching solution. The duration of the whiteness varies according to the person's eating and drinking habits after the whitening process, smoking, and the degree of whiteness obtained after whitening. In individuals with intense inflammation in the gums and gingival recession, whitening cannot be performed without making the gums healthy. If the desired gum health and oral care can be provided after gum treatment, whitening can be performed. Otherwise, excessive sensitivity increase or color irregularity may occur.
