Smile Design

Smile design is the process of harmonizing teeth, gums and lips in the closest way to nature.

Zirconium Crown

Zirconium crown is a prosthetic material that contains zirconium dioxide compound as a substructure. It does not contain metal. Therefore, it is more biocompatible. It is used by combining with oxygen in special furnaces and it is converted into zirconia ceramics. Zirconium is a very preferred method in recent years due to its advantages.

Zirconium substructured porcelains are generally used for prosthetic completion, correction and smile design of the anterior region teeth.

It has more light transmittance than porcelain veneers with metal substructure. For this reason, it has a more aesthetic appearance compared to metal-based prostheses. It does not create a dark color in the gums and problems such as black color reflection from the gingival edge, which is possible in metal-coated porcelain teeth in the future.

It is also frequently used today in bridge applications in the posterior regions.
Abrasion of the teeth to be prosthesis in appropriate dimensions, adjustment of the harmony with the opposite teeth and rehearsals are similar to metal-based prosthetic applications.

In terms of duration, it requires similar durations with metal substructured crown applications. Metal substructure alloy is frequently preferred in individuals who are allergic to any element in its content. Nickel allergy is the most common of these allergies.

Due to the processes in zirconium production techniques and the applications made on the zirconium material, the costs are still higher than metal substructure crowns (coating).

Porcelain Lamina

Porcelain laminates, also called "leaf porcelain", are very thin porcelain structures in the form of a "false nail" and adhere to the front surface of the tooth. In some cases, it can be applied only on the front surface of the teeth, with an abrasion of about 0.5-1 mm thickness, and in some cases without abrasion at all. This may vary according to the case.

Porcelain laminates are safely used in the correction of separated and crowded teeth, in cases where the color and shape of the teeth are not liked, in short, in all aesthetic needs related to teeth.

They are not affected by the stains left by substances such as tea, coffee and cigarettes.
Since they have no substructure, they do not cause discoloration on teeth and gums.
It offers a very good aesthetic thanks to its light transmittance.
